Help for Households

As you will be aware the Government launched the 2022-23 Energy Bill Support Scheme in October 2022 and most households have received the Energy Bill Support discount of £400, against  their energy bills automatically from their energy provider. 

If your flat receives heating and hot water via WATMOS’ District Heating Network and you pay for this service through your service charges you may not have automatically received the 2022-23 Energy Bill Support discount of £400.  You should check your direct energy bills (October 2022 – 31 March 2023) or speak to your energy provider direct for confirmation. 

If on checking your direct energy bills you believe you have not received the £400 discount and, if you have not already done so, you can check your eligibility and apply for this discount  online via the Government’s website at  https://www.gov.uk/apply-energy-bill-support-if-not-automatic.  If you are unable to apply online or need help with your application you can contact the Government’s helpline via telephone 0808 175 3287 Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm or via email at alternativefunding@ebss.gov.uk.

Please note applications for 2022-23 Energy Bill Support Scheme must be must be received by the Government by the closing date of 31 May 2023.
