Tree-Planting Heroes

This spring, Watmos residents in Lambeth planted 18 new fruit trees on their estates - giving natural beauty, cooling shade (and hopefully delicious fruit) to future generations.  

Thanks to Celine and Gareth from Friends of the Earth, Lambeth Council’s Poppy George, and Gieve from Watmos, who helped with the spadework.  
 
Magdalen residents worked for over 4 hours, planting 12 fruit trees. Ethelred resident, John Nicholson, helped Lambeth Council plant five trees on Lambeth Walk. And Malam Court residents had a blast planting an apple tree in the courtyard.
